PACK LEADER
Failure to establish "PROPER" DOMINANCE over the dog is the most common problem I've seen among dog owners. This basic malfunction is the root cause of almost all dog owner troubles. If you do not establish yourself as the "PACK LEADER" you force your dog to assume this role and as a result this is when almost all problem behaviors are born. There are many ways to establish and reinforce your position as the PACK LEADER and develop "PROPER" DOMINANCE. "SIT-STAY" is a behavioral response to command language by the dog. Compliance is recognition of the "HANDLER" as the "PACK LEADER". Obedience training is a great way to help establish yourself as PACK LEADER.
